DESCRIPTION:Social Saplings is a program I have developed for ages 7-11 to help children develop emotional regulation\, friendship and conversation skills. Class is interactive and fun. Parental involvement and homework practice is encouraged. \nClasses meet weekly for 10\, one hour sessions\, plus parent debrief. \nCost is $500 and autism funding is accepted. \nPlease contact me for an intake interview.

Led by an experienced art and anxiety educator.\nIntake interview necessary to ensure group fit and needs of participants.\nHomework and parent debrief may be included for consistency and generalization of skills.\nClasses are held over Zoom (link will be emailed before class start).\nSuitable for ages 11-15. DESCRIPTION:PEERS for teens ages 13-17.\n14 week social program. participants must be willing to practice and want to improve their social skills. Topics covered include entering conversations\, appropriate use of humour\, hosting get togethers\, bullying and good sportsmanship as well as much more. Parent debrief at end of class to help support students. Cost is $1260 for 14\, ninety minute sessions. AFU and home learning funding accepted.

SUMMARY:Social Saplings
DESCRIPTION:Social Saplings is about developing social skills\, regulation and social thinking in children ages 6-11. This is a great program for kids who have trouble socially and have mild anxiety.\nOur classes are small and an interview is conducted beforehand with students to ensure a good class fit. Social Saplings follows Children’s Friendship Training with added self regulation and emotional identification. Social Thinking is a big part of our programs.\nOur classes end with a 15 min. parent component to keep you abreast of what was covered\, allowing you to practice skills with your child.\nThe regular program runs for 8 \, 1 hr sessions. At the final class the kids will receive a certificate . Cost is $480. AFU and home learning funding accepted.
