Social Skills South Surrey works with children who present with ADHD, Depression, Low Support Needs Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Anxiety, or any other social or behavioral issues.

All in-person classes are held at Maura's home workshop in South Surrey, BC. Online classes are also available.

PEERs is the only evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated teens who may present with ADHD, Depression, Low Support Needs Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Anxiety, or any other social or behavioral issues. Participants should be behaviorally and emotionally regulated. In the PEERS program, your teen will learn:
    • Using appropriate conversational skills.
    • How to be a good host during get-togethers.
    • Finding common interests by trading information.
    • Handling rejection, teasing, and bullying.
    • How to handle arguments and disagreements.

Social Schools South Surrey provides individual and group coaching in strategies to combat anxiety and develop skills in communication, relationships, and executive and adaptive functioning. Maura is an educator and mother who is passionate about and experienced in supporting and facilitating social and behavioral development in young children and teens.

Expressive arts allow kids to present their individual personalities to the world. Art therapy also helps them to deal with negative situations, anxiety, and trauma. At Social Skills South Surrey, creative art classes are taught by an experienced, certified, and fun teacher Maura Majano. Art benefits your kid’s social development in many ways.
